This course will cover important fundamental skills to help you to go back to study with confidence. It covers basic time management, researching, writing skills, learning to learn and other skills that make you more employable.

*These classes are designed to work well with the Work preparation for computers held on Thursday mornings.

Resume Skills
With Debbie Whitehead

An effective resume is a must for those looking for work. This workshop will give you an understanding of appropriate resume composition and content to maximise your chances of getting the job interview you want.

Resume Skills continued- Typing up your resume effectively on the computer.

This computer class will follow on from the morning Resume Writing class so that you can leave at the end of the day with a working resume document that looks fantastic. Don’t forget to bring a USB stick to take your work home.

A career planning series to help people to choose work/study suited to their own skills and interests etc. Increase your self confidence by setting goals for yourself to work on in a supportive environment. Learn about your strengths, study needs and the skills building you are required to do in order to reach your chosen career

Preparing for Work or Study on your PC
- Ideal for those about to enter our accredited Training classes.

This series has been developed to incorporate skills that will be of benefit if you are about to enter study in accredited courses or re enter the work force. If you have the basic skills on computer and would like to expand on them these classes will assist you to fill in the gaps in your learning. The course will cover Microsoft Word, file management, creating and using tables and setting out assignments properly. Emailing, PowerPoint and Publisher will be introduced to you.
