Ever wanted to feel confident booking your flights, hotel or car arrangements on the internet? Many of the best secret locations and deals are now available on the internet and this course will show you the tricks of the trade by a local travel agent. We aim to assist you with booking “cheapie” domestic flights, last minute hotels and car hire bookings. This workshop will give you the skills to plan and book your travel arrangements online without the guesswork. Jane is a passionate, experienced traveller with invaluable experience and knowledge to share with others. This workshop will deliver advice and information with practice on the computers as part of the workshop. Basic computer experience is required.

Learners may choose to continue their studies within the liberal arts field.

Cooking a Dinner Party on a budget. With Karen George
This workshop will demonstrate how to produce a gorgeous and delicious meal that you would be proud to serve to anyone without blowing the weekly budget. The session will teach you how to make the most of your seasonal vegetables and fruit and how to cut costs without cutting down on flavour. This is the second Budget cooking session offered by Karen following the success of her class “Cooking Christmas dinner on a budget” offered as part of the Knox Outreach Project. It delicious and you get to taste what is prepared at the end of the session!

Making your own homemade, luscious soaps on a budget

This workshop will instill a passion in you to create your own high quality soap to nourish your skin without the boutique prices. The session will teach you about ingredients and alternative essential oils available which are actually fantastic for nurturing your skin- work with ingredients that are better for you-there are less expensive alternatives to choose from! Our Tutor will be able to offer specialized knowledge choices of pure essential oils and ingredients. The session will also cover making your own incense during the session

This workshop aims to empower people how to take control of their lives and make a difference in terms of reducing their household carbon foot print. The Tutor is trained to deliver information on reducing your household bills, making your home greener and more efficient. She can inform you of the government subsidies available to initiate changes in your house and the incentives being offered to help you to change the way you run your household. A must if you have considered or wanted to incorporate greener options but didn’t know where to start.
