A Big Change To Our Outdoor Space

Last Friday, our amazing community came together for a Working Bee – and wow, what a day it was!

We were thrilled to welcome a crew of volunteers, ELC families and kids who all rolled up their sleeves to help transform our outdoor spaces. With many helping hands, we were able to work through our massive to-do-list which included:

  • mulching
  • planting a selection of native plants, vegetables and flowers
  • setting up vegetable garden beds
  • painting of the shed and ELC cubby house
  • laying grass for our new outdoor entertaining area
  • repurposing garden archways
  • clearning spaces from leaf matter and overgrowth
  • installation of a new water tank and more!

We also kept everyone fed with homemade scones for morning tea and a sausage sizzle for lunch!

We were all so happy with all that we achieved but we were al exhausted after the big day and definitely needed the weekend to recover!

A huge thank you goes to the amazing team of people who came to support us on the day – we couldn’t have done it without you!

A very special thank you also goes to Knox City Council ‘Nourishing a Greener Life’ Project and Doug Lord from Yellowstone Landscaping for their incredible support in bringing this project to life.

We can’t wait to share our new and exciting outdoor spaces with you all!

We welcome aspiring writers and we invite you to take a look at our work.
