We are the Coonara Writers, a diverse group of budding writers who meet to explore fiction, nonfiction, poetry and whatever else inspires us. We welcome aspiring writers and we invite you to take a look at our work. The second year writers have created an article on the power of self-expression, and the first year writers have created a group poem about why we write. Are you just like us and can't believe that we are already halfway through the year?! It's true what they say - time flies when you're having fun and Term 2 was no exception! We have had a vibrant and eventful term filled with classes, community connections and exciting milestones. Some of the highlights have included our beautiful garden renovation, celebrating the incredible contributions of our volunteers during National Volunteer Week, hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM), and a warm and generous response to our Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser. We also fired up the BBQ for a classic Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, raising funds to support our Early Learning Centre. And that is all on top of the fantastic classes and programs that keeps our community inspired and connected throughout the term!
