Brochure Deliveries: A Great Way to Walk with Purpose
Would you like to volunteer a little of your time and get some fresh air in the process? We are looking for individuals who are interested in helping with our brochure deliveries! If you’re someone who enjoys walking and would like to contribute to spreading the word about Coonara’s programs, this is the perfect task for you.
As a volunteer for brochure deliveries, you’ll be responsible for collecting our brochures and distributing them to letterboxes throughout the local streets. This is a simple yet impactful task, and it’s a great opportunity to combine some light exercise with the satisfaction of helping out in your local community. You can walk at your own pace, explore your neighbourhood, and know that you’re making a difference by sharing information about Coonara’s events and services.
Walking Group Leader Needed
Do you love being outdoors, staying active, and helping others stay healthy and connected? We are currently looking for a volunteer walking group leader for our Walk, Coffee, and Chat social group. This group is a fantastic opportunity for people to get together, stay fit, and enjoy socializing in a relaxed, friendly environment.
The group meets every Thursday from 9:15 am to 1:30 pm during school terms, and we need a volunteer to lead the group through a casual walk to a local café for coffee and conversation. The walking group is a great way for participants to meet new people, enjoy some light exercise, and unwind after the walk with some social games such as Rummikub and then head off to lunch (at their own expense) at a nearby venue.
As the walking group leader, you would be responsible for meeting and greeting participants at Coonara, leading the walk, ensuring the group stays together, and helping to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a social, healthy, and full-of-fun opportunity to give back to the community!
