Mahjong (Western Rules)

Come and join this fun group and play the great game of Mahjong. Mahjong is a great game for all ages and has been shown to be beneficial for brain acuity, manual dexterity and social interaction. It is best played with 4 people but 2 or 3 can also play together. It is played with tiles and racks at a card table or similar. Booklets and printouts will be provided for beginners. Out & About

A social group for semi or newly retired people. We will use public transport or own cars to visit places of interest to the group. You are welcome to join for lunch at your own expense. Be aware of entrance fee requirements for certain places we visit. Own transport required. Please register your attendance the Tuesday prior to the excursion by booking online or contacting us on 9758 7081. Own transport required. Meals and entry fees at own expense. Please note that this group runs every 2nd Tuesday starting on 29th April. Term 2 excursions are:
  • 29th April: Meet at Churchill National Park in  Lysterfield at 10.30 am for a walk and chat. Followed by lunch at a local cafe.
  • 13th May: Meet at the Sate Library, Hansen Hall (328 Swanston St, Melbourne) at 10.30am for a guided tour of the library. Tour starts at 10.45am for an hour and booking is required. Afterwards, join us for lunch.
  • 27th May: Nursery visit – meet at 10.30am Mount Evelyn Garden Centre (126 York Rd, Mount Evelyn). Afterwards, drive a short distance to Kuranga Native Nursery (118 York Rd, Mount Evelyn). Wander around the nursery and later join us for lunch.
  • 10th June: Movie Day – meet at Knox Cinemas and enjoy a movie. Followed by lunch at a local venue.
  • 24th June: Meet at 10.30am to the Quarry Reserve to explore the reserve. Afterwards, join us for lunch at a local cafe in Upwey.

REFUND POLICY

Courses require minimum numbers to proceed. If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund.

If you withdraw from a class more that 5 business days before the start date, you will be eligible for a refund less a $10 administration fee.

No refunds will be issued for withdrawals made within 5 business days of the class start date.
